About Me

My name is Brittney Lechner; this is my seventh year teaching at Stanton Community Schools. I teach 7th, 8th, and 9th grade English. I really enjoy coming to school each day and working with my students!

I am also the Play Production director. Our season is from September through December. In 2016 our team performed the play "Fighting Demons" and won the class C1 State Play Production Championship! Our most recent trip to state was with the show, "That's Not How I Remember It" in 2020 where we placed third!

I am a high school graduate of the class of 2009 from Lutheran High Northeast and am happy to be teaching back in the area. I am a proud graduate of Wayne State College where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in 7-12 English education, along with an endorsement in 7-12 Language Arts. In 2019 I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Master's Degree in K-12 Educational Leadership.

I got married in the summer of 2016. My husband, Jared, is the Media Specialist at Norfolk Senior High School. He also coaches cross country in the fall and track in the spring. My husband and I live in Norfolk with our two dogs. Pete is a maltipoo who loves to take naps, while Cali is a black lab and loves to go hunting.

My favorite hobbies are reading, watching movies, and attending plays. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and our dogs playing in our back yard. We spend a lot of time together with Cali and Pete, playing fetch, and going on bike rides together.
